In a context of climate change, resource scarcity, and biodiversity loss, the EUT plays a very important role in socio-environmental transition, divided into two main categories of action:
Inclusion of socio-environmental aspects in student training
reducing the environmental impact of the establishments' activities
The EUT appointed a deputy director and recruited a project manager dedicated to CSR, created a CSR Commission bringing together staff and teachers from the IUTs, and undertook a number of actions:
Half-yearly meeting of the EUT CSR Commission
CSR Day held annually since 2022 for students and staff, as a key opportunity to meet, exchange best practices, and share experiences
CSR surveys conducted in 2022 and 2023
Video pitch contests organized since 2022
First Open Badges to be issued in 2023
Consideration of CSR aspects during strategic and management dialogue with the UGA Presidency
The EUT's CSR master plan
The EUT has also produced its own Master Plan aimed at continuing and amplifying the efforts already made, setting out a course of action as well as concrete measures to be implemented. With a view to clarity and consistency, the EUT has developed its CSR strategy based on the six pillars of the UGA Master Plan.
The EUT's CSR Master Plan is structured around four commitments that are more suited to its own policy and areas of expertise. In all cases, the ideas and actions presented in this master plan are the resultof regular discussions at various levels of the UGA: departments, IUT services and directorates, EUT missions and directorates, as well as UGA working groups, services, and vice-presidencies.
