Ce constat est d’autant plus vrai que les enseignants et enseignants-chercheurs sont davantage préoccupés par la qualité de la production d’un article ou d’un ouvrage que par sa promotion. Or un tel travail de production n’est possible que grâce à un investissement temporel conséquent et à une expertise de haut niveau pour produire un enseignement abouti ou un article de recherche. La question de leur nécessaire promotion est donc posée.

Showing what we do to our peers, IUT partners, future students, etc. means highlighting the activities within an IUT, which are too often overlooked. Even though there are already ways of promoting these activities, particularly for teacher-researchers through scientific journals and conferences, they remain confidential and are often reserved for insider circles.

The aim here is to make educational and scientific works available to the public through book publications, contributions to popular publications, and by making them directly accessible via the EUT website.

It also shows that a university institute of technology stands on two legs: teaching and research, not to mention all the administrative staff who directly or indirectly make it possible.

It is, finally, to define in very concrete terms what a public higher education service is.
