The BUT reform led to our programs being written in terms of skills, distinguishing between resources and professional situations. It also established professional development councils involving professionals and clarified the dual purpose of the degree: further study and professional integration.
At the same time, it was stated that industry experts should provide 25% of the teaching. Knowledge of the industry may therefore become necessary for a teacher to support a student in their training and prepare them for their first steps in their career.
For the EUT, this involves enabling a colleague who wishes to do so to immerse themselves in the life of a companyThe "Teacher and Researcher in Business" program was designed to meet this objective, but also to allow companies to take advantage of this immersion period to engage in privileged exchanges with a teacher or teacher-researcher. These exchanges can give rise to ideas for internships, work-study programs, educational or scientific collaboration, and more.
It is clearly a matter of giving time to get to know each other better and discover each other. The implementation of this measure must be prepared and requires the agreement of the department and the IUT management.
