The EUT Human Resources (HR) Master Plan

The objective of EUT management is to develop staff support and improve their integration within UGA, an internationally-oriented research university.

To this end, we have developed an HR master plan. This document aims to illustrate what we can do better and more, for the benefit of each and every one of us in our vast collective context.

The EUT's HR master plan is based on the individual levers of staff, which must be activated in order to achieve our collective commitments. The dimensions of this master plan are obtained by combining concrete objectives for staff with institutional objectives in order to help each and every one of us integrate into our environment.

In your professional projects

UGA is a large university that offers a multitude of resources that are sometimes overlooked by staff, especially newcomers. EUT wishes to establish a connection between your projects and this complex environment to discover and understand.

To meet this need, it has recruited staff whose mission is to create a environment conducive to meeting around internal events and activities, provide individual support to volunteer staff by connecting them with the relevant resource department and, to this end, having previously identified within the UGA the resources that can be mobilized, the experiments currently underway, and the resource colleagues working on related topics.

In the professional environment of a university institute of technology

Working at a university institute of technology (IUT) means choosing a work environment with certain distinctive features. These structures have a professional training mission within their university, and it is crucial to understand the scope of this mission in order to fully grasp the institutional challenges and the role of the EUT within the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA).

Professionalization requires focusing on the logic behind writing a program based on skills, the requirements of work-study training, supporting students in their plans to enter the workforce or continue their studies, and developing the necessary relationships with the professional world. In short, these are all specific issues that require your attention and, of course, support from IUTs at all levels: teaching staff, training, department, IUT, EUT, etc.

Gaining a better understanding of this environment allows you, as BIATSS staff, teachers, and teacher-researchers, to plan ahead in your respective professions and reap the benefits both individually and collectively.

In your professional training

While local support for staff is important, it remains true that training throughout your career is a good thing.

The IUT network essentially offers interesting training courses for teaching staff, teacher-researchers, and BIATSS (for certain professions). These training courses enable both skills development and the sharing of practices within professional communities.

The UGA is not to be outdone: it offers a range of diverse training courses that may be of interest to staff of all statuses and hierarchical levels at any stage of their career, from the moment they join the university until they retire. The opportunity to work in a university environment undoubtedly means being able to benefit from professional training, but also to learn about the challenges facing society through lectures given by leading international figures.

In an institution that cares about your quality of life

Social development, health and quality of life at work, diversity and professional equality: these missions are led by the Social Environment Department, one of the four departments of the Deputy General Management (DGD) Human Resources, whose objective is to develop measures to improve quality of life at work and prevent discrimination.

The Social Environment Department has four missions: it proposes and develops appropriate and innovative social services, it provides support to employees experiencing health problems, workplace accidents, or occupational illnesses, it supports employees with disabilities and promotes diversity, and finally, it oversees the following three projects: teleworking, monitoring and combating psychosocial risks, and monitoring and combating sexual and gender-based violence.
