The EUT is promoting a social outreach program for the UGA called BUT+, which is an extension of the ÉNEPS (National School of Higher Professional Education), opened in 2009.
The overall objective of BUT+ is to technological pathway enhancementThe program is structured around three major components:
ÉNEPS, dedicated to welcoming vocational baccalaureate holders into BUT courses
LABEL+, dedicated to welcoming technology and general baccalaureate holders into BUT programs
Support for Success, dedicated to the success of our BUT students
Created in 2009, ÉNEPS enables vocational high school graduates access university education andobtain a Bachelor's Degree in Technology (BUT)A nationally recognized bachelor's degree, the BUT is a real passport to employment, as the skills of qualified technicians are highly sought after by industrial companies.
Thanks to a adaptive teaching (smaller classes in particular), to a enhanced support (personalized support and assistance from CROUS) and to strong partnerships with several companiesENEPS is a real springboard to success for vocational high school graduates.
The LABEL+ program was born out of the experience of ÉNEPS and the desire of EUT and UGA to perpetuate and develop this social outreach program. It was designed in the context of the rollout of the BUT and the implementation of quotas for technical high school graduates.
LABEL+ is structured around three areas:
Information focus: discussing post-baccalaureate studies, promoting the BUT to as many students as possible from general and technological streams, informing parents about the BUT, informing high school teaching staff about the BUT, explaining the "Parcousup" process, discussing careers, discussing student life atUniversité Grenoble Alpes, etc.
Support focus: aimed at small groups of volunteer students from the technology stream, actions that are part of the Cordées de la réussite (Ropes to Success) program (supported by the local education authority): mentoring, discovering the specific teaching methods used at IUTs, meetings with professionals, visits to IUTs, immersion in practical work, etc.
Security focus: facilitating the reorientation of BUT students towards a BTS or the continuation of BUT studies after a BTS.
Support for success
The three IUTs offer support programs designed to promote student success, particularly for those who are struggling. These programs are specific to each BUT specialization and can take various forms, including pre-semester orientation weeks, courses on university study skills, teaching support, student tutoring, etc.
This support is tailored to the needs of the students concerned and takes into account the educational progression of the programs.
