Focus on sustainability
Four local companies share their experiences

4th edition of Corporate Social Responsibility Day From 10:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Lecture Hall 1, IUT2 Doyen Gosse
Faced with the environmental emergency, businesses are key players in developing more sustainable ways of producing and consuming. Higher education is directly affected by these issues, as it trains students for the jobs of tomorrow and responds to growing demand from students who want to find meaning in their future work.
  • The concept of regenerative economics will be presented by Bérangère Deschamps, director of the CERAG laboratory and lecturer at IUT2.
  • Olivier Gallot-Lavallée, lecturer at IUT1 and member of G2Elab, will then lead a round table discussion on the practical implementation of the regenerative economy in our region.
Four companies will share their experiences of their commitment, the levers to be activated, and the obstacles to be overcome in order to move towards sustainable models:
  • Alma SCOP, a business software publisher and member of the Business Climate Convention (CEC).
  • AtticorA, a cooperative society of collective interest that is rethinking sustainable housing.
  • Hardis, a company committed to the deployment of responsible, ethical, and inclusive digital technology.
  • Rossignol, manufacturer of winter sports equipment, member of the CEC.

Afternoon participatory workshops

The Ecolotronic adventure, followed by Teaching low-techs
The workshop will begin with a presentation of the Ecolotronic project, led by Pascal Xavier, a GEII teacher. This venture shows that it is possible to reconcile electronics and the environment.
Next, Martial Balland, a member of the Low-tech Lab, will present the main principles of the low-tech approach, which aims to create more sustainable, useful, and accessible objects. This will be followed by a lively debate and a presentation of a solar lamp created by the Low-tech Lab. Finally, students will have the opportunity to discuss the place of low-tech in teaching at the IUT.

My Earth in 180 Minutes
The Ma Terre workshop is the first collaborative workshop built by and for the academic world in the form of a serious game.
The purpose of this tool is to raise participants' awareness of climate issues, initiate discussions about the carbon footprint of a group of individuals by questioning their activities, and propose concrete measures to be implemented to reduce this footprint by 50% by 2030.
Initially intended for research teams, the tool is now being adapted for new audiences, including students.

Veggie Burger Quiz and conference show on sustainable food
Through our food choices, we have superpowers: we can combat global warming, protect the environment (soil, forests, etc.), preserve our health, and improve working conditions for farmers and animal welfare. How? By eating less meat and dairy products and choosing raw, organic, and local products.
The French Vegetarian Association invites you to come and play the Veggie Burger Quiz, a game in which several teams compete by answering questions about food, often serious but also unusual and even zany. The game will be followed by a conference and show on vegetarian food, as well as a discussion session where everyone can express their views on the subject.

Designing a nudge to encourage environmental protection
But what exactly is a nudge? The term nudge refers to an incentive to adopt virtuous behavior. For example, stairs decorated like piano keys in the subway to encourage people to take the stairs rather than the escalator.
Olivier Rousse, a teacher at IUT2, will explain what a nudge is, how it can be applied, and what its limitations are. You will then work in groups to design a nudge prototype to encourage environmental protection in our IUTs.

At the same time, other departments will offer workshops for their students, including Infocom with a Fresque du Livre and Legal Careers with a Digital Fresco.
